When: Two day training - Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December 2011.

The aim of the training is to support young people between the ages of 12 and 25 to advocate for themselves about what is important to them.
Here are some things that young people will get out of the course:
- Learn more about advocacy;
- Undersand disability rights, how to make complaints and the law;
- Improve your communication and assertiveness skills;
- Meet other young people;
- Free lunch.
Young people with a disability can take part for FREE and have their transport costs reimbursed up to the value of $100. Young people from rurual and regional Victoria who require overnight accomodation in Melbourne will be reimbursed up to $200.
Attendant support and AUSLAN interpreting will be provided upon request.
This weekend workshop hosted by the Youth Disability Advocacy Service with the support of the City of Melbourne in celebration of International Day for People with a Disability.
